How does it work?

The first step is for you to find a high-resolution digital image, or it can be an old print photo that you are ok to part with temporarily and send by post. The image selected should have the following characteristics to ensure good definition and clarity in the final art form: Contracts in light should be minimized. Meaning, sharp differences from light colors to dark colors that dominate the photo should be avoided. Black and white images are fine, but gray scale gradients will improve the outcome.

Close up images work better. Photos can be of any size. Some enlargement or minimization can be done.

Digital images can be emailed or sent on a storage device. In the future, there will be an upload feature installed on this site. All originals will be returned to you with the final product. Notes about copyrights and releases. All submittals must be your original. Any image that you purchased, and which is copyrighted cannot be accepted unless it is dated prior to 1923. Images made into art cannot be resold for profit.

Prices for Custom work are either $165 for an 8x10 or $180 for a 9x12 solar etching print. The size of the paper is 22"x15". Use the Contact Page to order or inquire about placing an order.
