d'Art Vinci Creative Solar Prints & Print Making

Welcome to d'Art Vinci Creative, and the website of artist printmaker Florence Siekman. d'Art Vinci Creative is about creating original works of art. The artist uses a combination of the sun and solar etching methods, monoprint technique, an old world hand press made in the USA, and unique insight in the use of color to achieve results that are like no other. Only natural materials are used such as natural inks, and never any chemicals or harmful VOCs.

d'Art Vinci is a love story between life, movement and colors! This is how the contemporary artist print maker Florence Siekman defines her art style. "All colors are interesting and they help me to understand my surrounding".

The artist uses safe printmaking with no chemical, no acids, no VOCs. She uses sun, water, traditional linseed oil ink, newspaper for cleaning, phone book paper as protection from ink, and baby oil for cleaning. The paper comes from cotton fiber. The artist recycles professionally made frames for all pieces in shows, business offices, restaurants, yoga studios, and so on.

Florence Siekman is vividly inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci for mastering the sense of unity between art and science and making them complementary. "Remembering that he was a thinker, we are able to discover in his works ideas which really originate in ourselves: we can recreate his thought in the image of our own". Quote from Paul Valery, Frenchman and historian/biographer of Da Vinci.

Florence has her own style that is inspired by colors and the basic things in everyday life. She creates works of art that may inspire others or give life to an empty space. Florence has also become a member of the Arizona Print Group.
